Birthday Party Number One

Basketball is on and I have a ton of blogging to do, so what better time?!
Things will be out of order for a bit, but I'll finish up with the birthday boy!
On his birthday we made rainbow cupcakes together. (A great project if you have lots of "helpers" who like to stir!)

The layering of the colors got a little crazy and they were way full.... here's Grace watching them "puff up"!

It was beautiful out so we headed out to explore while the corned beef and cabbage finished up! We're going to try and teach Cooper to walk on the bricks, not the sidewalk around the pool. So he took one step at a time and asked, "Right here?" after every step for about 10 feet! Too cute! (Imagine it... Right Here? Yes. Right Here? Yes. etc!)
The birthday boy!
At first he wanted to eat, but then realized there were presents!

It was great having Aunt Monica home for the festivities as well!
Still to come: More party fun on the weekend!!!

Happy Birthday to Cooper!

He's been singing the song all day!

To himself, to "you", and to Monica! :)

Even sang himself to sleep. We love this boy!

It's a Big Day!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY COOPER!!!
OK, so again, the out takes are just about as much fun!!

"Forget it!! Gimme those M&M's!!"

"Ahhhhh!!!!! I WANT THOSE M&M''s back!!!"
and, Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!!

A Day at the Museum

A couple of weeks ago, Tim was to take two students to the state house to be pages for the day. So, the night before, we decided to ride along and spend the day at the Children's Museum! (After all, my middle name is 'spontaneous'!) It was great! I packed a lunch for us and Tim ate with his kids and then met back up with us. We decided to become members, so I'll have to work on getting better pictures in the low light, but we all had a great time and were worn out by 3:30!!
Cooper and Pilchard and Bob the Builder.
Grace and Scoop (I think - I don't know all their names, but the kids do!)
Hello, Barbie?
Digging for dinosaur bones. Protective eye ware, please!

A quick trip to Egypt
Looking at the skyline from the "plane".
Grace made me a carrot wrap.

The market was a favorite spot.
Think they would let us do this in the real Egypt?
The water table at the children's play area. Note to self... take extra shirts for after this activity.

TRAINS!
And, finally, our first time on a carousel!

Looking forward to going back, soon!
