New dress up clothes and our new umbrella! Grace got the umbrella from her cousins on Christmas Eve, and exclaimed, "But I wanted it from Santa!" She got over it and LOVES it!

Again, spotty pictures. I'm wishing I had made us pose for a family shot. Next year, I guess. We are fortunate to live close to family so we can spend Christmas morning at home. It was fun to watch the kids open their presents and then play with them without being rushed to get somewhere. How wonderfully blessed we are!

The Cooper's Christmas

With Aunt Monica. (Who, by the way, is driving north in California right now, after a brief stop over in Mexico... I know! What the?!?! I guess they accidentally crossed the border! But, they were let back into the country and are now just a couple of days away from "home". )

I'm finding my pictures a bit spotty this year. I'm trying to balance taking pictures and actually participating in the fun. So, I'm a little disappointed in what I have in pictures, but I know I had a good time! I'm going to have to keep working on the balance.

Normal

In the midst of Christmas Craziness, the normal stuff just keeps happening. Cooper just curled up on the couch to watch some Sesame Street and snack a little. Too cute.

With Daddy home there is never a dull moment!

And I am constantly amazed by the things that kids must learn, that I never really thought about. I love it when they figure out how to spin around to get their coats on, or how to get their arms into and out of the car seat straps. I never thought about teaching Grace to spit, until we saw the dentist last week, so now we practice. Also, you have to teach them to use a knife.
And what Grace does, of course Cooper must do too.

I'm just having a ton of fun watching them figure stuff out. It seems like something new every day.

Christmas Festivities

First up... the Jingle Jam.

One of the local churches hosted the Jingle Jam at the Honeywell Center this year and it was WONDERFUL! They used the entire center so there was plenty of room, reasonable crafts, delicious snacks, and it was all free! The kids decorated cookies, made a nativity ornament, and sang Christmas karaoke!!! It was fantastic and I hope they do it again next year.

Tim and Cooper "smashed" every piece of their nativity ornament together. Sigh. Boys.
And, the high light - Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer Karaoke!!! Grace walked right up to the lady with the list and asked to do Rudolf. We had to hold them back till it was our turn, and they did awesome! Tim really didn't think they'd do it when he agreed to let them, but he stepped up as the dedicated dad that he is and helped them get through it! Cooper started off singing right away and held the mic up close the whole time. During the musical section in the middle, Cooper did a little dance, and Grace giggled into the mic! So cute and so frustrated to not have had the video camera or phone!!!

Silent Night

We had a ridiculously blessed Christmas again this year and are continuing to recover from it! Tim has been able to play with the video camera and his laptop with all his free time, so until I have time to get the pictures off of the camera, here is the Silent Night video I promised. Enjoy!
