Party Time!

Not ones to let a little prairie fire stop us, we went ahead with our party, that weekend, celebrating...
The upcoming arrival of Baby Mini Cooper,
The Retirement of Tim C,
The (Master's) Graduation of Tim D,
and the 60th birhtdays of Tim and Patty!
Do we know how to multitask, or what?!

Mom did the baby cake and I did the retirement/graduation cake. (Can you tell?)
The kids had fun just playing together as well as a pumpkin hunt and a hay ride! Perfect day to celebrate!

Oh my....

On September 24th a combine started a fire on the prairie. With extremely dry conditions and ridiculous winds of up to 40 mi/hr, it quickly got out of control and swept across the prairie, heading straight for the farm. (The white buildings in the tree line RIGHT where they were able to stop the fire.)

Every department in the county, along with some from neighboring counties, and several neighboring farmers came to fight it and ultimately saved the farm. We are extremely grateful to all who helped and give God all the glory that only half of the remaining crops were destroyed and no one was hurt!

Uncle Ben the Tri-Athlete

Ben swam, biked, and ran in a triathlon at Mississinewa last month. Even in the cold rain, we had fun watching him and cheering for him, and several of our friends, as they came and went. Good job you crazy people!

Cousin Baby Mini Cooper ....

Could be here any day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We're a little bit excited and jumping at the phone anytime it is Grandma or Uncle Ben calling!
We posed for this picture with a "Mini Cooper" for a cool "cousin" picture frame we got for him.

Big Boy Bed

This is how we found Cooper one night when we checked on him. Sound asleep! You have to wonder if he fell asleep mid action, or actually laid down and fell asleep after getting here.
And just last week we checked on him to find he had moved EVERYTHING out of his bed and was going to sleep on the floor! If we didn't have the big spiders right now, I might have let him!
He cracks us up!!!!

Sunflowers

I love a good sunflower field!
And, as for the kids.... Well, I love them, but this was pretty much a silly photo shoot. ;)

The last two are Photography by Grace and Cooper. I love seeing what they see!
Tim commented on Cooper's picture that we must seem like giants to him!
